Tinder today announced that it is adding more options for its users to accurately represent their sexual orientation. The dating service partnered with the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation to ensure a comprehensive implementation of an encompassing selection of sexual orientations.
Announced via a post on Tinder's official blog, orientation options will be easily available for both existing users as well as those that have yet to sign up for the service. New sign ups will be able to select their orientation during their profile set up. Displaying that information on your public facing Tinder profile will also be completely optional.
In addition to these profile options, more discovery options for your potential matches will be made available. As the blog post descibes:
"By visiting your Discovery Preferences, you can choose to see people of your same orientation first — the choice is yours."
